Grinding and polishing concrete to HTC Superfloor™ quality

HTC Superfloor™ finish is possible to create, by grinding and polishing concrete, on both an existing concrete floor with or without coatings and for new buildings in the construction phase. For the existing floors the final appearance is dependent upon how the concrete floor once was produced with regard to the colour of the cement, the type and amount of aggregate and how much of the aggregate it is possible to expose after grinding.

Therefore, refinishing existing concrete to a very high performance floor is mainly for industrial and commercial areas. However, in new production with specified procedures all through the floor production phases, very elegant appearance in different variations are possible and these floors are therefore suitable in any demanding application. Read more about these opportunities under floor concepts.

The general method for HTC Superfloor™ is based upon starting from a normal concrete surface. It is of course also possible to convert a coated concrete floor to a long lasting HTC Superfloor™.
The first step will then be the removal of the coating and this procedure is described under the preparation section. Furthermore, for HTC Superfloor™ are the two first grinding steps specified as for normal concrete. They can however be changed to fit different types of concrete, according to the tool selection under concrete grinding.
