“Reverse strategy” lead to export success
Last year HTC Sweden AB was appointed as one of the best export companies in Sweden at the Great Export Day, arranged by the Swedish Trade Council. At this years Great Export Day HTC’s MD Sten Jeansson revealed the strategies that lead to the success.
- When we started we were advised to grow strong on our domestic market, before we directed our efforts on the export market. We did just exactly the opposite, and that has given us 12 years of continuous growth in an international market.
Sten Jeansson, lecturer at the Great Export Day 2005, talked about this strategy, HTC’s business concept and the importance of a successful export trade.
HTC Superfloor™ - an impressive concept
Sten Jeansson did also talk about the benefits with HTC Superfloor™ and the range of applications for the concept. Information about HTC Superfloor™ was handed out in the pause, and the audience were clearly impressed by the smooth and shiny surface that is achieved with the HTC Superfloor™ concept.
Successful 2004
HTC was one of the winners of last years Great Export Prize (Export Hermes), based on the result of 2003. Since then the number of staff have increased from 30 to 70, a business unit has been established in the USA, and sales returns have increased. Furthermore, the present premises are enlarged with another 3000 m², and a massive product launch has recently been made.
Motivation
HTC won the Great Export Prize of 2004 in the small trade category with the following motivation:
“HTC has from the beginning concentrated to be the world leading company within their area.
With that as a starting point HTC has with their systems-thinking and customer-orientation created an international superior system to grind stone- and concrete floor.”
